About the My Elks Mobile App

Past Grand Exalted Ruler Roger True has had a vision of a mobile app for the Elks for many years. Now, with the help of an amazing team of Elks from Area 8, California & New Jersey, and funding from Alaska, Idaho, New Jersey, Oregon, and Washington, we have created the first tool our organization has ever had that directly engages information to the member rather than hoping they go somewhere and read it on their own.

This group of Elks, including State Vice Presidents from Idaho, Oregon & Washington, Public Relations Chairs from Montana and New Jersey and a Lodge Exalted Ruler from California. This group represents generations, and the vision of these generations, which will take our order into the future. They have modernized their local lodges while working through the officer chairs, are helping their state associations modernize and have now put in the selfless hours and dedication to develop modern technology that will help all of Elkdom succeed.

For a cost cheaper than your monthly cable bill, only $95 per month, your lodge membership, indeed the entire membership, will benefit from the investment, not just those that come to the lounge to watch sports via that cable bill. The members will have the opportunity to engage with Grand Lodge and their State Association as well – imagine the possibilities for Elkdom with reminders of key dates and events, contest forms and dues payments, notifications done quickly and easily in the palm of your hand. Think about the ability to remind people about volunteer needs and giving them the ability to sign up to volunteer right there on their phone, at that moment.

The effort these volunteers have made, flying across the country, going to numerous conventions, meeting in person and online outside of conventions – the hours they have put in is staggering, the personal costs and time spent is amazing, all done for the good of the Order. With the support of this team and lodge leaders across the country we will take advantage of this opportunity to integrate modern technology that will create for our organization opportunities that will culminate in the Elks being able to do more in their communities. Do more for Veterans, do more for our Youth, do more in our state major projects, do more, do more.

A dedicated Elk once said that we don’t grow by chance, we grow by change. Truer words are rarely said, this is one of those changes that will help our organization grow.
